Jack of Hearts, Weaverville,NC
It looks like Weaverville will have a new(,badly needed Restaurant as quoted in MY WEaverville
"– Jack of Hearts Pub and Restaurant, the long
awaited cousin to Jack of the Wood in Asheville, will open in early April in the old
Weaverville Firehouse at 10 South Main Street, Weaverville, NC.
1917 building has been transformed with many modern touches, including old
sycamore bars, local art, a large outdoor deck for drinking and dining, a state of
the art sound system for live music, and a full kitchen serving locally sourced
classic American cuisine with HEART."
Best of Luck
An absolute must for a good time and good food. This establishment brings real meaning to
"Good FOOD, Good Times, Good Friends."! Excellent staff, superb quality of food and ingredients and prepared and served fabulously along with pleasant surroundings and just an all around GOOD PLACE TO GO!
Lamb Burger TOP NOTCH! Soups and salads excellent! Everything I have had so far I would order again, but then how will I ever taste everything!!!!
A MUST and a wonderful addition to your town of Weaverville NC.
("soft opening" review) - Firstly, I felt really bad for the staff. A "soft opening" on Friday and Saturday nite? Yikes. The place was slammed by 6:30pm on the Sat we went. The interior has high ceilings with massive beams ...mural over the kitchen wall....concrete floors....not much to buffer sound so it was pretty noisy and became increasingly so as it became more crowded. Hopefully they will add some sound dampening features like fabric to walls.
Menu has a nice variety of apps (grilled wings, calamari, cannalleni bean hummus, etc,; salads, sandwiches and entrees and prices ranged from about $5-$23. They have made an effort to source from local providers and also have items labeled as "gluten-free" or vegan. Food was tasty and fresh. Wine and beer prices by the glass were pretty reasonable - mostly $5 and $6 for wine and I think around $4 for beer.
We had 1 app, 1 salad, 1 entree, 1 beer , 1 wine and an ice tea and it was $52.
Servers were struggling to keep up with the enthusiastic and curious locals so be patient...I think this place is a winner.
