Is there any way to thicken up a crockpot sauce?

Trying to use my crockpot more. Today I made a tasty easy chicken dish with honey, curry, mustard and butter. It tastes good but the sauce is so thin, and I have had this problem before with other chicken dishes I've tried. Any suggestions?

  1. Stir some cornstarch into cold water, add it to the mixture in the crockpot, stir well, and let it cook for 15 minutes or so.

I can't give you amounts, as I don't know how much sauce you have to thicken up, but I'm sure you can find that info on the cornstarch box.

    1. Cornstarch might be good but you could probably also pour all of the sauce into a pan and bring to a boil...turn it down to a gentle simmer and let it reduce, uncovered.

      1. Instant mashed potato flakes. Stir in a tablespoon at a time until you achieve the desired thickness.
