Hello all. My wife and I will be in DC for 2 days this weekend. We are looking for a good place to eat dinner Monday night. Nothing pretentious or unnecessarily fancy, just great, honest food.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have a price range? A certain of the city you will hanging out in? Any types of food you love or hate?

More info would be greatly appreciated so we can help you choose the perfect restaurant.

We will be staying in Woodley Park, but know the city fairly well so any area works. I eat anything and everything, while my wife is less adventurous when it comes to food (she is a meat and potatoes kind of girl. If there is a steak of some kind on the menu, that's what she'll order.) Price isn't really that important as long as the food is good, but obviously nothing crazy expensive. We both love eating out and will pay for the experience. Oh and nothing fancy because we don't want to have to pack extra clothes! :)

Palena is a good idea. You also might like Central, Acadiana, or PS7.

A lot of places are closed Mondays, but the Palena cafe is open.

Just checked out PS7 for the first time. Recommend it.
