Food was good but service needs some work. One app arrived before the drinks, the other 10 minutes later because we asked for it... had to ask for bread. It was like the 3 Stooges were running the front. I imagine they will get it together but will wait a month or so before I return
Four of us went on Saturday night. I'm from DC, so can't compare to other places in NYC, but it seemed average at best.
Service was a disaster. We ordered a bottle of wine for the 4 of us, and the server poured the entire bottle, then whisked it away and 10 minutes later asked if we wanted another one. Between the apps and the mussels, we waited 65 minutes and couldn't get bread or water refills (luckily we were sitting next to the water station so grabbed our own).
calamari - pretty decent, with 3 dips - marinara, pesto, and bbq mayo (?).
ceviche - also decent, but only came with one plantain chip, which seemed a little skimpy.
New Yorker, Thai, and Provenscal. These were all fine. I didn't really have the New Yorker since it really didn't appeal to me. The Thai was probably the best, except for the fact that about 1/4 of the mussels weren't open. The other 2 pots had unopened mussels also, but this one seemed excessive. The mussels that were open were a nice size and fairly plump.
All in all, I wouldn't go back. It was a lively crowd and sceen, but not really worth it.
