best breakfast burritos in RWC/MV, or other things to feed movers

A bunch of friends are helping us move our furniture this Saturday and we would like to feed them. we wanted to go beyond donuts, given the lackluster options, and perhaps do breakfast burritos. Also need a late morning type treat (for a second crew).

Any suggestions on great breakfast burritos? Other suggestions for treats to feed our kind friends?

We are in Palo Alto.

  1. Bagels and various spreads? Never been to Izzy's myself. Wish I knew somewhere to point you for pork buns.

Please tell me that this is a local move.

Izzy's is the best around. I would pair that with fresh Blue Bottle coffee, beans available at Fraiche just off University.

Breakfast burritos: interesting. Try the supermarkets. Mi Pueblo (Rengsdorf and Central @ 7am) and Chavez are open early, and have burrito bars. I bet they're serving, I've always liked the burritos there. There's lots of them around.

The Tres Hermanos in EPA claims to be open, gets good reviews and looks OK from the outside but I've never been.

Los Gemelos, up in RWC, opens early, and they are seriously great. I bet those little tacos they have make a great hand-snack early, and through the day. Not a breakfast burrito.

Chavez is our default. My husband likes their al pastor burrito, albeit variable.

Thinking of picking up something at Esther's German Bakery. Anyone have experience with their baked goods?

Your default might be a pleasant change for your movers (it's not for YOU, right?) Los Gemelos then would be my only suggestion.

Before I found out I had celiac Izzy's was my favorite bagels, but we're aiming for something a bit more off the beaten path.

Yes - local move. Heading to midtown. I'll have to try some of hte little restaurants in that area, which isn't frequented much by folks not living in that area.

      3. The Chavez breakfast burritos were a big hit with the movers.... hubby said chorizo was better than the ham, but he doesn't like ham.

Glad it worked it! Your comment about ham is somewhat inscrutable, though
