DC area diner

What, if any, classic American diners are there in DC (and surrounding)? I know there's "The Diner," but it's not exactly classic.

Those others are just newbees. The classic DC diner is the Tastee Diner which has locations in Bethesda and SIlver Spring. It used to have one in Laurel, but I think that one closed.

Besides The Diner the only diner I know of is Capitol City Diner. I haven't been yet (not really close to where I live) but my friends that live in the neighborhood love it---especially because their little ones love it :)

There is the Silver Diner. They have about a dozen locations in the area. Huge menu, breakfast served all day, open late and has a '50s theme.

          Tastee Diner in Bethesda.

There's also the Capital City Diner, but haven't tried it yet.
