Got a great doughnut hole recipe?

rabaja Mar 22, 2011 10:39 PM

I am trying to find the ultimate doughnut hole recipe, and so far have had little success.
I've made pretty dughnut holes, even adorable mini doughnuts with their holes all piled up, Thomas Keller like, but they've just been...blah.
A little tough, a little boring.
Anyone have a recipe they love?
I am making many batches for a party this week, and prefer a yeasted doughnut. Any help you can all give would be much appreciated.

I loved the King Arthur Flour Vermont Doughnut Hole recipe. It's not yeasted, but really delicious -- and the I found the recipe really easy to follow. (Their doughnut muffins are also tasty.)

Thank you, I will be testing this one today.
A non-yeasted dough may be better, as I'll have to hold them over the course of the afternoon.
