Rocco's Italian Market and Deli in Los Feliz

The sign for this place has been up for almost six months now. It's on Vermont Ave. right next to Monte Carlo. Anyone know any information? I was very excited by the addition of an Italian deli to the neighborhood but cannot find out any information about it.

  1. It's open.
Didn't get a chance to investigate, but hope to soon.

Let us know what you think if you go.

    1. It opened a couple of weeks ago and my friend took me there this week. The food was great; the best sandwich I've had in quite awhile. My friend just had the caprese salad and farfalla salad and they were very fresh and delicious. Very nice people too.

      1. I can't wait to try them ... unfortunately their hours (weekdays till 6 pm, Saturdays till 4 pm, closed Sundays) mean I will only be able to indulge on Saturdays for lunch.

        1. I was unimpressed. Tried the Il Rocco sandwich and found nothing remarkable about it. Poor balance of meat (way too much mortadella) and a pretty subpar bun. They did seem to be in disarray and the place doesn't seem to be ready to be open. The seating is terrible and the layout makes it feel really empty. I'm pretty sure someone was getting trained on my sandwich, and they had little diagrams outlining what goes into each one.

I might go back in a month or two to see if they've ironed out the kinks.
