Mexican Coke

I love Mexican Coke (don't buy or drink regular Coke) because it tastes so much better than what is manufactured here. Maybe it's the glass bottles. Anyway, Shoppers in Fairfax has cases of it. You can buy single bottles, or stock up with an entire case.

I am a fan of the Mexican coke and any non-US coke because foreign countries make Coke with sugar but in the US (since 1980) they use corn syrup. My hope is that Coke will follow the lead of Pepsi with their throwback (aka sugar) version. Mexican coke is good but it is a lot more expensive than US corn syrup coke.

I don't and won't go to Costco. I do not need vats of shampoo. It is just too prole and too Third World. But my major objection to Costco is its gruesome and life-threatening parking lot. So I was thrilled to find my Coca-Cola a la Mejicana at Shoppers, avoiding a drive all the way up to Riverdale.

The parking lot at the Costco on 202 is alot less life-threatening then most. Pentagon has to be the worst one I have seen fights break out over parking spots

Third World - lookng for Mexican Coke? Humm you are making me laugh. The 202 Costco, like Arundle Mills and Columbia are rather sedate as far as parkng goes. I will agree Crystal City is a bit of a zoo, but then it is the most upscale Costco around. But I have never been vexxed parking at any suburban store. Sam's Club or Costco. Yeah, they do have vats of stuff, but they also have single serve, ready to eat stuff too. And that third world Mexican [real cane sugar] Coke. SFW being close is a nice thing. But, believe me it is "third world" in Riverdale too.

I love Riverdale and delight in its gritty Third World-ness (only place to get decent and authentic Mexican food without making it myself), but it is an hour's drive from where I live in Virginia. So are Arundel Mills and Columbia for that matter. Where is the 202 Costco? Could there be one I've never seen? I will never go to that shopping center in Crystal City ever again under any circumstances. I actually saw a guy key a woman's car there after she took "his" parking spot.

Riverdale begins back memories of my college days I lived close to the fire station during my junior and senior years at Maryland. Off the Beltway on 202 towards Upper Marlboro Costco is next to the new Wegmans
