Top-Notch BYOB's North Jersey & Shore area needed

We have some great new bottles of wine we'd like to open.....Looking for some really good BYOB restaurants in the North Jersey area....Essex, Bergen, Morris and Passaic County area. I'm familiar with several down the shore..Brandls, Clementines, Black Trumpet, & Whipsers. All suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Cafe Matisse in Rutherford is frequently listed in NJ's Top 10 Best Restaurants. You can buy wine by the bottle at Cafe Matisse, but you can also bring your own.

As all of the restaurants in Rutherford, except CK's Steakhouse are BYOB, you might try Paisano's if you want Italian, or Mignon if you want Steak. There is also a good South/Central American restaurant -- Cafe, Cafe; and a greek restaurant/hookah bar/pastry shop (and probably a few other things as well) -- called After Athens. All of them are above average food-wise. You may need reservations for Cafe Matisse and Paisano's.

Saddle River Inn in Bergen county is always a good bet.

On the more inexpensive side, I like Cafe L'Amore on Route 202 in Oakland.

I would recommend either CulinAriane (www.culinariane.com) in Montclair or Lorena's (www.restaurantlorena.com) in Maplewood. Neither are inexpensive but they're two of the best restaurants in the state. If you're bottles are truly special I'm sure you want the food to match!
