Bern's menu & recipe question

Does anyone have a working recipe for the carrots cooked in cherry juice served at Bern's? I inquired at the restaurant but was told it was a secret recipe. Also does anyone have a PDF of the older (pre-2007) dessert menu at Bern's Harry Waugh Dessert Room? The menu has been updated and many older classic desserts deleted. I was planning to make some of them at home but don't have the original menu to work from. Thanks for your help. Terry

  1. I haven't got a recipe for you, but I do have an idea. Many years ago I requested a recipe from a local Basque restaurant and was told the same thing, "top secret." So, I wrote to Bon Apetit to the "You asked for it" editor, and presto bango, a few months later I had the recipe in my hot little hands. Evidently, getting that recipe published in an International publication turned the trick.
