I just saw this mentioned on the board. It looks interesting and wondered if anyone has been and if the food is any good? I would love to hear your opinions. TIA

They have many units scattered over the LA region, with some doing well, while some have already closed.
Typical of an El Torito, with a bit of a baja focus.
Nothin' to go out of your way for.

Been to one of the OC locations. Nice drinks and happy hour specials. Food - completely meh chain seafood. If you want something a half notch more spicy than RL, but are too squeamish to deal with unshelled shrimp, or suck the goo out of a crawfish head, or if the mild sauce at Boiling Crab is waaay too spicy for you, this is your kind of place.

Go for drinks, just don't expect anything high-end. It's a fruity-mixed-drinks and pony-beers-in-ice-buckets kind of place because it's a chain trying to evoke a Baja seafood shack feel.

Deep fried ice cream was reasonably well prepared, but in a soulless, corporate-chain sort of way that might impress someone who's never heard of deep fried ice cream before.
