What are the choices for good lunch in the area?

Kotosh is in the other plaza across the street (diagonally) from Gaja. Great peruvian style Ceviche and Arroz Chaufa.

Try Gaja Okonomiyaki for something different. It's a little bit east of the intersection on Lomita Boulevard. There've been reviews on this board, which aren't popping up on a quick search, but here's JG's review, for starters.

Agreed. Gaja is the way to go inside a strip mall right on Lomita near Crenshaw.

Try the pork and kimchee okonomiyaki if you like spicy.

Avoid the cheese and mochi, not that it isn't good but it takes away from the okonomiyaki flavor.

They have huge parfaits for dessert. They are like parfaits on steroids.

Eboshi noodle bar in the same plaza for ramen. Fried rice is also good, among other things.
