The Pizza Place on Noriega (Outer Sunset), SF - anyone?

Another EdibleSF find from Pete Mulvihill, co-owner of Green Apple Books. Pizza is suppose to be thin & greasy, you can get whole, slices, good grinders at lunch (hot or cold sandwiches) . Antipasti, spaghetti, housemade meatballs.

I probably eat there about once a week at least. The sandwiches are really good - good meat on amoroso rolls. I think they're supposed to be east coast style - owners are from boston I think. Definitely hits the craving for a sandwich. The pizzas are one of the few pizzas I'll eat anymore (other than fancy gourmet ones from delfina, etc.). My main complaint about pizzas in the bay area has always been stinginess with tomato sauce, but I don't have that problem at the pizza place. The crust right out of the oven is really good - thin and crispy.

It's a local place with lots of families - nice to visit if you've been out at the beach or the zoo. I'm not positive if it's every night, but they have a fantastic brased pork too. Sides - salads & cauliflower - are also good. I haven't had the spaghetti & meatballs as that's something I feel like I can make at home, but I'm sure it's good too.

Yes, delicious unfancy pizza, friendly atmosphere, better than average sides.

Good pizza in a fun, relaxed place. We rarely get take out, because the pie is so much better fresh and hot from the oven.
