Tofino: How much is Shelter vs. The Pointe?

Hi heading to Tofino (from Toronto) and I know Shelter/The Pointe is pricy but I was wondering how much to budget for lunch or dinner. Their menu doesn't have the prices.

We aren't the type to crazy splurge $80 p.p a night but if its $30 then we can afford it. Also we don't drink wine and we could dine their for lunch if it is cheaper.

Also are they vegetarian friendly?

--- any other suggestions (besides Sobo, Spotted bear & tacofino is also appreciated!

Would second suggestions for Norwood's and Fetch at Black Rock, though both are in Ucluelet, so a bit of a drive from Tofino.

We had lunch at Shelter last time we visited that side of the island and were wholly underwhelmed...overcooked fish and wilted salad, way overpriced. Though the deck was a nice spot for a beer, admittedly.

Both are good, but worlds apart in ambiance, service and food quality & style. The Pointe is an elegant but casual, scenic room while Shelter is a fashionable brasserie with surf videos playing on tv.s.
$30 pp is an option for The Pointe at breakfast/lunch/brunch, but not so much for dinner, unless you order one main per person, but I think you’d be missing out on the full experience without appies or especially dessert. This pricepoint would work for lunch at Shelter. However, the mains at dinner are around $30 each, unless you order from the pub menu, which does have a good ling cod burger, fried calamari, etc and tasty cocktails. Both The Pointe & Shelter are vegetarian-friendly. The Pointe is known to be vegan-friendly, too.
Other suggestions? Black Rock’s Fetch Restaurant has an inexpensive, good lunch, and it’s right on the ocean.

We followed the advice of a fellow hound and went to the Pointe for lunch which was lovely and it was light out so we could enjoy the view and walk the beach after.
I have been for dinner in the past very romantic (it was our honeymoon) but I recall it being pretty pricey.
Shelter is fun and less $$.

The Pointe - maybe $100-120 pp. Shelter (which is more like a gastropub) - maybe $30-40. The Pointe can do vege. Shelter probably can do vege. Alternative: Norwoods in Ucluelet. (I haven't been, but have heard good things).

If you are not drinking alcohol at the Pointe you should be able to get away at around $50-70 pp depending on whether you both get appies and desert; the full tasting menu is $90. Mains at the Pointe are from around $28-$40 if I remember correctly, with vege on the lower end of the price scale. Shelter has some vege dishes, but their double-cut pork chop is......mmmmm
