best kao soy in thai town?

i am craving me some kao soy... i think i got the spelling right. big bowl. curry. chicken.

can anyone recommend a good place in thai town? thanks...

See that display case in the second picture in the back? That's where Kay keeps the gallons and gallons of non-dairy creamer that she uses in the khao soi.

So, you know, fair warning.

At least, that's what she used to put in it. I'd be interested to know if that's changed since the no-hydrogenated-oil law went into effect in 2010.

Having undoubtedly consumed a few gallons of this over the years of my own volition I just can't get worked up about the issue.

Well, I had to try this for myself and went yesterday. It was pretty good although the chicken was not very appealing. What did get to me was looking at that fridge full of non-dairy creamer. Even though the flavor was good, I became a little grossed out by the idea by the time I finished. I wonder why they don't use coconut milk.
