Saint Petersburg key lime pie

By my title u may know what I am asking. I got a friend in town wanting a good key lime pie. Is this available in St Pete or do u have to go south? Thanks guys!

I second Dockside Dave's! Either in St. Pete Beach or the location on Madeira Beach, Dockside Dave's has the best KLP in my opinion. The crust is oreo crust....I think it's a perfect combination of flavors!

I just had a slice this weekend from dockside daves on st pete beach that was actually pretty good. housemade but with a oreo crust.

The best Key Lime Pie I ever had was at the Don CeSar. The Sea Porch used to have it with a chocolate crust. YUM. But, I haven't been out there in ages, so I'm not sure it it's the same.

Haven't been in a while but Pie Factory on Walsingham Rd. in Largo has superb key lime pies.

I had a pretty decent Key Lime Pie this weekend at a friend's house, made by Mike's Pies. They are made in Tampa and distributed locally - I think this one was bought in a Sweetbay Supermarket's bakery section, but here's a list:

That's surprising!
They were written up in Creative Loafing 2009 for THE BEST Keylime Pie, and Big Mike and I went in the next day... We cut a whole pie in half and went at it with a couple plastic forks sitting outside at a small table...

Mike and I concluded, after serious defibrillation, that it might just have been the best KLP we've ever had...
Very similar in flavoring and crust to other premium highly regarded Key Lime Pies, but with a silkier richness...

The place was gorgeous and the mother/daughter team were passionate, creative, sweet, and proud of what they did...

They used to be in a hidden spot in Tarpon Springs, and when I heard they moved I had to believe they chose a better location...
