Girlfiends In Town for Half Marathon

Four girlfriends (2 from Texas; 2 from California) are coming to run a half marathon in NYC the first weekend in April. We'd like to go out to dinner to a restaurant on Friday night.

No one has expressed a food preference--I know not helpful--but I'm thinking that the restaurant should have great food (any type of cuisine); be lively and have terrific decor. I'm thinking of an entree cost between $25-$35 and possibly some lower cost restaurants. Any suggestions? I will appreciate any and all ideas!!

Where are you staying? Helps to home in on the area. So very many places to go. here's a few

    Scarpetta (Italian in meatpacking district)
Little Owl - (greenwich Village, great food, impossible rez)
    Aquagrill - seafood in SOHO

Sounds like you're running The More, do you have your Saturday dinner set yet? I may be handing out water on the west side of the park during the race

We are running the More! We also don't have Sat dinner set. I'm not sure what the girls are thinking for that. That's great that you will be handing out water! Thanks and Thanks for the suggestions.

Scarpetta is a great suggestion. Nuela is also very good.

I'm wondering if I should also add some restaurants in the $15-$25 range in case budget's an issue for one of the gals! Any ideas??
