Planting seed from fresh fruits/vegetables
I guess I had beginners luck last year. I saved some seed from a store bought bell pepper, planted them and had a plant (actually two) that produced more bell peppers than I could use or give away. Problem is, I don't remember how long I had them before planting as it was done without any thought.
A few months ago, I saved some from a fresh pepper and they dried to a tiny, flat seed..... but they won't germinate; I've tried twice. Last week, I bought another pepper and am wondering how long to let them set/dry before planting. Though small, as pepper seed are, they're still fairly plump.
Ideas?
