recipe request: portuguese style marinated "blade meat"
Anyone out there remember the marinated pork made by the long-closed Zito's Market in Attleboro, MA? It was, to my recollection, a pork blade steak or similar cut done up in a strong marinade with base of vinegar and hot peppers. Anyone happen to have a recipe (or their recipe?) for this? I've searched on the web and found a few recipes for caciola that are also referred to as "blade meat" but so far I haven't found quite the right recipe.
(For all I know the marinade I'm thinking of might just have be a jar of some particular vinegar-pepper sauce poured over the meat, but this was a favorite food when I was a kid and I'd love to be able to recreate it).
