Sushi around Miracle Mile

  • 9

I recently took a job on Wilshire in the Miracle Mile and am in dire need of a go-to sushi spot nearby. I had been working in the Valley and had the luxury of Ventura Blvd...is there anywhere in the Miracle Mile/3rd St./Fairfax/La Brea area that serves high-quality, traditional edo-style sushi? I don't love Hirozen, and Izakaya doesn't do it for me. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Really like Haru. Very good omakase and friendly owner and staff. They do a variation of the ubiquitous albacore and crispy onions with fried onions like you'd see on a good steak sandwich instead of the fried strings you see at other places. fantastic.

i've been lately going to yuko kitchen behind wilshire, two blocks east from chipolte. it's not high end sushi, but they have yummy bowl-ito rowls - their version of a sushi burrito. they have options like spicy tuna, eel, etc, but nothing fancy, just fresh and good. they have a few rolls too. it's nice to have another option for something fast & easy.
