Reno - Silver Peak Brewery & Restaurant

We were going to Thai Chili for lunch but they're on vacation. While turning around, Silver Peak caught my eye. I remember a CH who was visiting Reno recently mentioned eating there so we said why not? We had the linguica and shitake mushroom pizza on their whole wheat crust (they make it from the same hops as their beef). We both think it was perhaps the best pizza we've ever tasted! I frequently leave the edges of pizza dough cause I just get full. Not today. Even meatless it would have been terrific. We will definitely be going back here. We had the pizza (six slices), a glass of wine and a 16 oz. beer for $20. They also have a location, Slice of the Peak, across from the Aces baseball park which we'll be checking out soon.
I recommend this place very, very highly.

We went back here last night for dinner. As great as everything looks, we just had to have their unbelievable pizza again. We had the Acapulco which is chorizo, jalapenos, tomatillo sauce, sweet peppers and pepperjack cheese. Absolutely stellar. There is now no doubt in our minds that this is the best pizza we've ever had. Walked past a couple who were having the filet mignon and they were fabulous looking. Nice and crusty on the outside and rare, rare on the inside. While we'd eaten in the bar the first time, we had dinner in the dining room area. Still great service. They also have a rooftop garden dining area. I know everyone will love this place.

Wow, I'm really surprised. And I'm not an indiscriminate pizza lover. But none of us are going to starve, are we?!? We've only been to the one on Wonder near Thai Chili.
Off to Rio on Monday so will miss the Chowdown at Santa Fe Hotel.
