St Patrick's Day in the Hudson Valley
I don't know where in particular you're looking, but Zephs' in Peekskill has some tempting St. Patty's options featured on their website. I'd call to confirm they have them before going.
from the website--
RIGHT NOW AT ZEPHS': A note to all of our Irish and Irish-for-a-day customers. The fresh brisket is currently curing in our house-made spiced brine to bring a REAL fresh corned IMG0481beef for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. We will be serving it with a mix of seasonal vegetables (turnips, leeks, parsnips, celery root and of course, potatoes and cabbage) poached in the beef broth and accompanied by our homemade spicy mustard.
But Irish cuisine does not stop there. We will also have a special appetizer: Pig in a Poke - A delicate Irish sausage baked in a crispy potato pastry.
Served with homemade zucchini pickles. The pickles may not be exactly an Irish staple but they are a favorite of our favorite Irish friend (Mrs. Kelly) … and they taste so good with the Pig.
Another main dish for the celebration: Seafood Shepherd's Pie - A mix of shrimp, scallops and crab in a very light creamy leek sauce baked under a mashed potato dome.
For dessert: Trifle - Layers of light sponge cake, jam, fresh fruit, a thick sherry scented custard, and whipped cream.
And another Mrs. Kelly favorite, Walnut Toffee Ice Cream.
Sorry, no green beer.
