Clear Flour has Mohn hamentaschen

Stopped in today and they had mohn, apricot, raspberry and chocolate. Told me they made them several times a day so if they are out, stop back in a few hours if you can. Poppy seed! Yay!

  1. I'm all ABOUT the Mohn. Never eat any other kind of hamentaschen. Just love the stuff.

Oh yah, and if you eat enough Mohn you WILL test positive.

hmmm define "enough" of those things! that's a lot all right! I'm mohn-in just thinking about how I'm too far away from Clear Flour right now.

I bet one single hamentaschen is "enough."

Urban legend has it that a poppy bagel is enough, but I doubt that.

Though upon googling, it is confirmed:

Sorry....after re-reading I realize you meant 'enough' poppy seeds to trigger a positive on a drug test....but I somehow twisted my thinking into thinking the pastries themselves were the 'addiction' that I personally can't get 'enough' of!

    2. Thank you for this report! Save me a couple, StriperGuy.

        1. Got over to Clear Flour Saturday morning for my Gruyère croissant and Pain de Mie fix and picked up some poppyseed and apricot hamentaschen. Definitely the best I've had in Boston. The poppyseed were very good, but I've always been more partial to the apricot. Chocolate just seems wrong somehow. Will have to drop by again soon to pick up some more. There were two women in line behind me who were from NY. One asked me "Is this place worth it?" I looked at her. Why would be lining up 10 minutes before the place opened if it sucked? Anyway, they got inside and were oohing and ahhing over everything. You could tell they were from NY as they thought the prices were "really low". I love CF, and I go there often, but I've never used the term "really low" to describe their prices!
