re: elle
For veggie friendly, I'd recommend Safita (Middle Eastern), Coromandel (Indian) or Quatrro Pazzi (Italian) for more casual places. If you want something a little nicer, 55 degrees (Italian) and Osianna (Mediterranean) are also excellent, Osianna doesn't have a ton of vegetable options but they do have a lot of seafood if that is eaten.

re: elle
That's cool. I am a vegetarian and I really like Safita as well. Wild Rice is good, but I also like a place called LC Chen's. ( very clean & friendly - good food! ) Paci is great italian for a " special" dinner, but if you don't want to go to that expense, go Quattro Pazzi. Madeline's is great for lunch or dinner... lots of veg. choices. ( great soups & Salads.) Same with a Restaurant called Grey Goose in Southport. They have Many choices you will like. Let me know where you you go, and what you like. Good Luck! ( Also, if you like indian food, don't go with Bangalore, go to Bombay in Westport, or Coromandel in Fairfield,
