Boro Park Kosher Delight Closing

  • 8

Any thoughts? Fond memories? A dinosaur past its prime or a mainstay of Jewish cuisine? Will your waistline or bottom line be impacted? Let's give this relic of Jewish cuisine and its deliciously fried chicken, expansive and all-inclusive menu (Chinese? Deli? Steak? Ribs? Salad? They've got it!), and always-stylish orange motif a proper send off!

  1. Sad. I've consumed many a calorie there.

Not many kosher restaurants in business for 30 years, let alone at the same location. And now I'm craving their fried chicken.

    1. Oh man, I remember when it was one of the few meat places out there. Always a delight (HA HA) to get my parents to take us.

I loved thinking I was walking into Burger King/McDonald's and ordering a greasy burger like I saw on TV.

My parents always took us to Kosher Delight when they took us out. My grandparents always preferred Crown. First place I ever had p'tcha!

I also loved ordering a burger, fries, and a Coke, just like the people on TV. And the swivel seats! Me and my brothers used to race, seeing who could swivel fastest.

      2. From what I heard their lease was up and the landlord was trying to do a "number" on them. They'll probably reopen in another location

Is it related to the Kosher Delight in Manhattan?

I think it's related to the one on Ave J too.

I think KD in Boro Park was stand alone, while the KD's in Manhattan and Flatbush are related.

they appear to be related to me
