GOOD sushi in Los Feliz/Silverlake area - looking for recos!

Being new to the area (LF/Silverlake), I'm on the hunt for a local sushi place to become my "regular" place. I've relied on Yelp reviews. It's not working. Places that have been raved about have been less than good. Sure, if you want to gorge yourself on rolls, these places may do but if you are looking for fresh quality sashimi and sushi, I haven't found the place yet. I've tried Pazzazz Sushi and Sunny Sushi. Rolls decent/good. Sushi not so much. Pazzazz was hit and miss. The first time was pretty taste. The last two times were lacking (again, rolls are good). Pazzazz does have excellent Ikura (salmon roe).

Any recommendations? I'd appreciate it. I'd consider recommendations in the surrounding areas also.

en sushi on hillhurst is good, fresh high turnover on the fish which is good,
I hit happy hour up quite often shhh it's a good deal.
Saito is pricey and my local special occasion sushi both are good especially when hitting the sake and beer then just a walk home.
Also I like San Sui. and that's it.
Tosa express if you want a really cheap chicken bowl skip the sushi.
Nothing mind boggling in the hood.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Perhaps I should offer the following disclaimer: I haven't been to Shibucho, but from everything I have read, it is pricey. Given I usually (try to) have sushi one or twice a week, I think it is beyond my budget.

I will definitely keep it in mind for special occasions.

If price matters consider heading further west on Beverly to Noshi Sushi in Koreatown.

Ditto on the Noshi tip. Not sure if they still are, but they used to be cash only. Good (but not earth-shattering, or world-changing) and priced reasonably.

You're right, Shibucho makes quality sushi.
I don't think of it as a "go to" place because of the price of omakase and wine list. Also, although i am a fan of Shige, a lot of people don't seem to get along with him.

You're out of luck. Saito is the best of the bunch, but he's inconsistent, gruff, somewhat expensive, and has a rundown if not dirty dining room with fluorescent lights. The other places in the area border on disgusting.
Downtown is the closest best bet.
