Can anyone suggest a place to go for a proper Irish breakfast? I am thinking brown bread, fried eggs, bacon, black pudding, etc..

If you don't mind a late breakfast (noon or later) then Finn McCool's on Main Street has what you are looking for.

I'm not sure what's on the menu, but Casey's Irish Pub downtown is serving breakfast on Thursday starting at 6am for St Patrick's Day. Sunrise breakfast is a kick off to their annual street festival. http://caseysirishpub.com

I called Casey's. Unfortunately it is just bacon and eggs and lucky charms cereal. Not really traditional but thanks anyway.

Here is a link to the menu for FMc's Irish breakfast http://www.finnmccoolsirishpub.com/PD... which can be had from their opening right through their closing bell. If you get over here to have it don't forget to go by Sonny Blue's for some traditional, fresh Japanese O-musubi.

Ireland's 32 (in Van Nuys) serves a "Full Irish breakfast" on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Gallagher's in Huntington Beach does a full Irish.

If you can tolerate the name... Joes on Venice does an "English" breakfast which is very similar... beans, baked tomato and all...
