Zanata in Plano.

Has anyone been to Zanata (Italian restaurant) on 15th Street in Plano? I'd like to know what you think of the food there. I know they have a branch in Rockwall but, thats too far away for me. I'm most interested in the food at their Plano restaurant. They're located in the old Gregory's space.
And in particular, Has anyone tried the clam pie?

Went a few weeks ago and wasn't impressed at all. I think we were the only table in the restaurant on a Sunday night. We tried the Blue Crab Dip, Baby Spinach Salad, Pizza, Tagliatelle, the Stuffed Pork Chop and several deserts. The crab dip was very rich with cream and cheese. The salad was too sweet with dates, grapes, pears and a sweet dressing. The pizza was limp with nothing standing out about the ingredients. The taglietelle was cooked well and was probably the best dish of the night. Though I didn't love the guanciale incorporated into the dish. The Stuffed Pork was dry and overcooked. Nearly inedible. We also had Butterscotch Pudding, Chocolate Cake and a Cheesecake for desert. I didn't like the pudding. The two cakes were decent. I will not be back.

Thanks for the review. Since you and I always seem to have the similar taste, I will just skip it.

I think it's worth a visit as the space is really nice and some of the dishes I tried were quite good. However, the clam pie was a major disappointment. I mean, HUGE disappointment. I may go back to try some other things, but I'd never order the clam pie again. It just made me wish I'd gone to Nonna.

Thanks for all the input. I really like the clam pie at Nonna. So I guess I'll stick with them. And, they're in my neighborhood.
