Azul y Oro - how to get to the restaurant

Hi everyone!

I wanted to thank everyone for their restaurant recommendations during my recent stay in Mexico City. I had a chance to try Dulce Patria and Izote which I really liked. I also had a chance to re-visit Pujol, where I had JUMILES!!

The point of this post was that after many trips to Mexico City, I finally had a chance to go to Azul y Oro. I didn't have the slightest idea how arduous this journey would be on foot. We took the turibus from the auditorio which dropped us off at the plaza comercial perisur where we set off by foot to the restaurant. Lesson learned, this is probably not best place to go by foot! I posted better instructions for those who are as ambitious as us that want to go the restaurant by turibus. Overall it was a fun day exploring the UNAM campus and ending the trek with some delicious food! And we got to see Coyoacan afterwards by turibus! :)

Your instructions are based on the use of the Turibus. You can also get there taking the Metrobus that goes along Avenida Insurgentes. Get off at the CU (Ciudad Universitaria) stop and then get the PumaBus to the Zona Cultural. The Metrobus costs mx$5 (plus mx$15 for the card). The PumaBus is free.
