Non-Restaurant Foodie Gems?
Looking for Phoenix area foodie gems that are NOT restaurants?
What are your favorite shops and markets that are your "go to" sources for anything food/chef related when you're hunting down that special, unique ingredient, kitchen tool, cookbook, or even the place that offers great cooking classes as part of their business. Spice/oil shops are of particular interest, as are independent/used book stores that might have a focus on cooking/culinary arts.
I have one week to explore the area later this month; day trips to other destinations are also on the agenda, so don't limit yourself to metro-Phoenix.
Phoenicians and other Arizonians, what your "must-go-to" shops and markets?

Queen Creek Olive Mill is something you should put on your itinerary... It's only about 45 minutes from downtown.

If you have a day, maybe check out the wine regions of Southern AZ... Sonoita, Elgin, Wilcox... It's about an hour south of Tucson and definitively a doable day trip. AZ Vines and wines will have much more information. There's also the Sedona wine regions and Vines and Wines will have that info too.

Good luck and let us know what/where you end up!
