Anyone know what days Bread and Cie in Hillcrest will have their Irish Soda Bread this week? Anywhere do a better job on this item that you are aware of? Theirs is the best I've found...

Best I've had, in San Diego, was some I bought at Whole Foods at least a couple of years agol. It was not their label. It was from a local bakery, whose name I forget and it was on a counter above where the cakes are displayed, in Hillcrest. I have not seen it there recently.

BTW, Irish soda bread is actually fairly easy to make....

Yes -- Bread & Cie has freshly baked Irish soda bread all this week. Call the cafe to make sure they're not out before you go.

if you can't make it to Bread & Cie, I saw it at Henry's today. We didn't buy any so I can't vouch for the flavor....so really try to make it to Bread & Cie

Henry's makes it all year. I like that I can get it when I have a craving.
