St Louis restaurant reminiscent of the year 1931

I want to take someone out for her 80th birthday, which means she was born in 1931.

What restaurants do we have in St. Louis that will remind her of her childhood?

Crown Candy Kitchen, of course. Any other suggestions?

  1. I just walked out of The Fountain on Locust, which isn't that old but looks like it is. Al's just celebrated a major anniversary, and certainly predates WW II. Kemoll's has been around a long, time, too, but obviously not in its current location. And I'm sure others will have more suggestions.

Highly recommend Fountain, beautiful space, eclectic, delicious food, and good people. Actually, that restaurant was a showroom for the luxury car maker Stutz and I would venture is at least 80 years old - Art Deco, at least.
