Beverly Hill & LA for 3 Nights

I am going to be in Beverly Hills and LA with a pretty picky eater for 3 days. I am looking for some places that serve great food (but unfortunately will have to stick to American/Italian/French), are not extremely expensive (average check for two without much drinking under $150) but can also be cheap - I am going with a friend, so no need to impress.

Also, I am going next week, so places that are tough to get into isn't really an option. I tried Mozza, but they only have 5:00 reservations for when we are going.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I'm going to assume you have a car and that you are looking to stay in the general area of Beverly Hills. If not please let the board know what your geographic parameters are and what your mode of transportation will be (if no car).

Da Pasquale is a nice, local and not too expensive option for Italian in Beverly Hills. For breakfast or lunch you should check out il Tramezzino (excellent chicken panini with addictive garlic sauce). Nate 'n Al's Deli is another good choice for solid and safe choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    1. I think you'll have no problem, even in Beverly Hills, staying under $150 for two with limited drinking. Shoot, I think you could have a nice meal at Bouchon for $75 a head as long as you don't go nuts. Same with Il Pastiao and Via All'Oro two Drago family joints with good Italian. Mulberry Street Pizza is a local favorite though I don't think anyone will say it is the absolute best, I find it totally edible and eat there all the time--fun to look at all the pics on the walls. I think you could even do Crustacean at that price point. If you aren't chain adverse, McCormick and Schmick's isn't bad if you order properly and location is kinda rad.

Further afield you could easily do Red Medicine or Dan Tana's.

      1. Scarpetta in the Montage Hotel is really good. Especially the pasta.
