Recommendations for small celebrations

Will be in Portland for my son's college graduation - looking for recommendations for a place for the out-of-towners celebration the night before - about 10 of us - thinking cocktails/wine, nice food - a nice view would be great since most will be newbies to PDX. I don't think it has a view but any thoughts if Toro Bravo would work for this?

Then, a late luncheon or a dinner after the midday commencement ceremony - again about 10 guests. Well priced wine list, good food...ambience is definitely a consideration. Even a view...

Noble Rot has the view, in addition to the other aspects you are looking for.

Bar Avignon has a back room that would work for your group very well, also great wine list!

Toro Bravo is of course great, but the wait can be legendary(and not in a good way) for large parties.

Tabla is also a great option. some serious wine finds on that list and the food, from top to bottom, is great.

Toro Bravo takes a limited number of reservations for parties of 8 or more early in the evening. I did this once and it was fabulous, because with that many people you can order tons of different food and share everything.

I did my 40th b-day at Tabla and it was a great time and they treated us really well...

We could seat you in the restaurant, or you could use either our Alder Room, or Overton Street Room for your celebration. Our food, wine, and cocktail menu are as local as it gets. A good place for out of towners to have a Portland experience.

awild1 - who is "we" that could seat us in the restaurant or "our" Alder Room or Overton Street room? Thanks

I'm guessing Wildwood Restaurant & Bar.

I had a celebration for 10 at Andina. We had great service and food. It was definitely a party atmosphere.
