Little Kebab House, Mt Kisco NY
Great little place. 10 seats. Great apps, chicken tikka masala was excellent, aloo gobi very nice. The tandoori roti and nan w onions were very good. The people are very nice. 2 apps, 2 breads, chicken kebab platter, ctm, and ag was $44.00 plus tax.

We've gotten a lot of stuff from Calcutta Wrap & Roll. Everything has been good and reasonably-priced. The vegetable croquette was pretty interesting and tasty. It looked like a deep-fried shank bone (marrow and all) and tasted like an Indian-spiced potato croquette. The butter paneer (not mutter paneer) was a cheese lover's dream. I hesitated to share it even though there was plenty. Biryanis were yummy and the portions huge. The mango lassi was great. I like the fact that they have lunch special prices for take-out items during the day. I also appreciate not having to shlep to White Plains for a good kathi roll.

India House in Croton is good.
But nothing in Westchester currently is as good as Bengal Tiger was.
I also miss having a Dawat in White Plains.-----

re: weedy
India House in Croton is just all right. The staff is very unfriendly and I don't know why. It's been that way for years. I stopped eating there and just started taking out because of that. Plus, they don't make the dishes spicy to your taste. It will tell you on the menu next to the dish: medium spicy, very spicy, etc. and if you ask for it to be mild, they just nod and you'll get it medium to very spicy.

The buffets are a real deal, especially if you go on weekdays:

I've been to both the buffet and dinner service at Malabar Hill and the food is good. The bread is just fair. The atmosphere in the dining room is cafeteria-like. Very dark and totally undecorated. They seat by section packing everyone on one side so there's people on top of you although the restaurant is only 1/2 full.

We have not been to Mughal Palace but we frequently bring in food from Rani Mahal (same owners as MP). We like Rani Mahal much better than we ever liked Bengal Tiger.

re: Shawn
Another vote here for Rani Mahal. I had my first Indian meal at Bengal Tiger and was convinced that I hated Indian food for all eternity. It took years for me to recover from the Bengal Tiger trauma. Rani Mahal is a great restaurant and I adore their staff!
