BLOOD ORANGES...still around??

I'll be back in Toronto quite soon and am wondering if there are any 'Blood Oranges' still around..every year it seems either I return later (late March) or they finish earlier, in any case I've really been missing them and wonder if anyone has seen them lately in the 'city'?

Thanks everyone, these posts give me great hope...after my 'trip' up to Bagel World for Bagels and then a stop on the way home at Pancers for pastrami...BLOOD ORANGES next..I'll stop in at all the supermarkets down Bathurst to 'my' Loblaws on Dupont!!! 'Home Sweet Home"!!!

            2. I bought some at Walmart recently. They are delicious!

              1. Actually there is a really easy way to tell a blood orange from the other varieties (naval, clementine, etc.) - but you have to buy one first. Seems a bit obvious perhaps but the "blood" in the name refers to a "red" flesh inside - the actual juice is red as well (orange/red). Good luck with the hunt!! Soooo tasty!

                1. Fortino's has them on sale this week. Heavy for size, juicy, only 1 or 2 seeds, although a bit hard to peel with a lot of pith left on the orange. Worth it though!

                  1. Saw some at the Forest Hill Loblaws SuperStore (Bathurst/St. Clair) this week - $4.39/kg.

Thanks for the lower price advice, 02putt! I'm actually not fond of the veggies you also mentioned, but the oranges price sure can't be "beet"!! :-D

                    2. I bought some at The Big Carrot yesterday
