Uh-oh: I'm a vegetarian going to Dublin.

...What now?

(Will also spend a few days in Galway)

  1. Go to Cornucopia - it's a vegetarian haven. I just bought their cookbook and love it. If I had time, I'd have gone their more than once. They have music some evenings. We had a delicious breakfast here too.

Also, Winding Stair has delicious vegetarian options. Had a lovely lunch there.

These were the 2 highlights of our weekend to Dublin and we are not vegetarians although do love a good innovative veg meal.

Yup, Cornucopia is tasty. It's a hard town for vegetarians, but that restaurant makes it easy.

Winding Stair is a great restaurant, but I think everything I enjoyed at my meal there was meat, meat, and more meat. (Or fish.)

Queen of Tarts and Avoca Cafe also had some non-meat options, but I feel they skewed heavily towards the egg and dairy side of things.

I had a great gubbeen cheese entree at Winding Stair.....still remember it. :)

    2. Go via Cork and eat at Cafe Paradiso - easily the best vegetarian food in Ireland.

      1. I liked The Farm. It's on Dawson St. near the intersection with Nassau.

ETA: this isn't a fully vegetarian restaurant, but they had delicious vegetarian options.
