Famous Mow Lee, Lop Yook(chinese side pork), Lap App (salted duck), Lop Chong (chinese sausage)

I just moved back from college after moving away for along time. And i was craving some of that good Chinese preserved meats. I hadn't had it for years and years. So i went to that famous old green store on grant street and bought their Chinese side pork and their salted duck. Bought some baby bok choi, Put it in a clay pot with rice and needless to boyfriend LOVED it. Just wanted to share the secret.

  1. Thanks for sharing ..... just wanted to mention that Mow Lee Shing Kee is actually not on Grant Avenue but on 774 Commercial St. just a few stores downhill from Eastern Bakery on the corner of Grant Avenue.

    1. I get my preserved sausages and stuff from Wycen on Washington up from Stockton instead. I feel they're not as salty.

        Really? I don't like eating too salty either. But i tried Wycens, i didn't like it. it tasted very bland. I like the ones from Mow Lee they have a selection of two types of duck legs, one that's traditional and one that is not as salted. I know because I LOVE it.
