Chelsea for one night with kids...
Hi! We are coming down from Massachusetts for a very last minute night in the city. Staying in Chelsea on west 28th. We have 2 girls, 4 and 6, who are pretty adventurous eaters. Does anyone have any ideas for Saturday night dinner? We will eat pretty much anything, but don't want to spend a fortune. I checked out the Tipsy Parson. It looks lovely, but is it kid-appropriate?
Any help would be appreciated.

I think tipsy parson is fine for kids -- just about anything in Chelsea at that Price point on the early side (6/6:30pm) will be, but I did not think the food was "all that" or the atmosphere. Red Cat, while as CH comments will show, is not totally fabulous, to me has a more festive feel and special-er presentation that at least for the older girlcould work.
Gascogne, French, low key cozy feel could also work and I think would be a bit less expensive.

Not sure why Red Cat doesn't get more praise on this board. Personally I really like the food, the atmosphere and at that price point it's hard to beat in the area. I've been for special nights and just random Tuesday nights and always come away happy.
