Sushi in the Annex
I'm meeting a friend for sushi in the Annex, and I need a suggestion.
Never been impressed with Sushi on Bloor.
Sushi Couture seemed to drench everything in gobs of mayo and be overpriced for what we received when we went a few months ago. Obviously not everything has mayo, but I'm not sure we'll go back unless really persuaded.
Any other possibilities? Wish to stick in the area, thanks.

I persuaded my friend to hop in my car and we went to Lola, a sushi place south of Eglington on Yonge.
Decided against the Annex, given the best option (Couture) was one we'd rejected.
Still open to hearing otherwise.

re: shekamoo
Thought not in the annex, for the closest sushi, I'd add a second vote for Yuzu. And the fish at Japango is still way above average for the city. Also not in the Annex.
Went to Sushi Couture last night. I had the chirashi sushi, which is an assortment of the freshest fish, some seared, some raw and tamago arranged on a bed of sushi rice. It was $13.99 with soup and salad and I'd say it was worth the price. I've had better but at higher prices (the most recent example being Japango)
