Tremont 647 Advice?

We need to use a coupon this week and , while we used to be regulars here back when Jason and Matt were sous, we have hardly been in recent years. When we went for 1) the recent tapas competition and 2) Taco Tuesday a few months ago, we were disappointed both times. I pulled up the current menu and nothing excites me. it seems that the previous 'long-standing' sous is gone (no loss, from our limited experience of him). I have re-read the brunch menu 3 times because i can't believe it's not a typo in that it lists one egg dish and no pancakes/waffles/eggs benedict/omelets etc etc. Weird.....they must be 'fresh out of' a skilled brunch chef and andy just doesn't want to work that shift.

Have you eaten anything REALLY good there recently(other than the fried plantains w/ Schlesinger's guava ketchup yummm) ?? Not just o.k. but really good? thanks for your help.

The last thing I really liked at Tremont 647 was the knife-and-fork fried chicken that they transplanted over after Rouge (which I loved) closed, but that's been off the menu for years.

The fried chicken reminds me of a fried chicken eggs "benedict" they have for brunch. Fried chicken, poached eggs, gravy on a biscut. And a nice helping of salad to make it healthy. lol. :) It was very tasty though.

I think they're in restaurant week mode this week. I could be wrong, you may want to double check. Their brunches are really tasty.
