Affordable Barcelona dinners, Eixample near Diagonal/Passeig de Gracia

Will be in Barcelona 6 nights in early April, at Martinez de la Rosa, 11 (Eixample, near intersection of Diagonal and Passeig de Gracia)

We are looking for dinner suggestions within walking distance (~0.5mi/0.8km)

Details:
-need budget- moderate price range
-tapas options good too
-we speak fluent Spanish
-adventurous eaters, from NYC (ie. prefer not to get suggestions for thai/sushi/indian/other nonregional unless they are really super special)

    Try La Rita. It's about 800 km from Metro Diagonal.

      I would search this board for earlier posts as there have be tons of recommendation on eating in the Eixample, all within walking distance where you are and of Spanish/Catalan cooking. On the other side of the Diagional is Gracia, full of good everyday inexpensive places. Try Envalira for Galicia food and Surreny for tapas. Also good pintxos at Ondoa Berri.. What is 'affordable' or 'moderate' mean different things to different people.
