Best Local Strawberries in SD

I remember someone posting about a place, and I even went there, in CV for fresh local strawberries but, my gray matter is failing me. I usually go to a place in Vista but, don't want to trek up to NC. Anyone remember the place in CV off the 5? Thanks.

I picked up some beauts at the Point Loma Fresh & Easy yesterday.

I'm not a strawberry expert, but the ones from JR Organics at the North Park farmers' market are pretty delicious.

Yup, I've been getting fabulous ones there the past couple of weeks.

The stand was open today, but will be closed until Monday. They're hoping to stay open all next week, but they were unsure if they'd have enough berries to do so.

Went and bought a flat of excellent berries today (Monday). Sounded like the berry supply is pretty healthy.

Yeah, she said they'd probably be open all this week but was unsure if they'd have enough to last through the weekend. I really must remember to get a number so I can call ahead!

Went yesterday, got a half flat. WOW! and the same price as last year.

Though I deplore them, Chino's has some incredible strawberries that require someone knowing the Heimlich maneuver close by while eating them.
There is a couple of places in the ranch that I've seen them as well..big, juicy and delicious.

What I've seen at the various farmer's markets is pretty close to what you find at many of the roadside stands, IMHO.

I think it was a farm stand on Main St, CV.

That's it - 4th and Main. It's a haul, but the fields have been there for as long as I can remember (and I grew up in CV). The last time I went, their crop had been hit by frost, but I saw folks working the fields last week. I'm going tomorrow, so I'll report back on their status, if you like.
