How about a map that lets you find the geographic boards?

Maybe I'm nuts, but I thought CH used to have this.

Often people are traveling to a place where they are unfamiliar with the geography. Or they might be more visually oriented. A map where you could click on the state/country and be directed to the appropriate board could be helpful.

I was just reading the thread about the confusion of what Central South is and a poster was trying to find Virginia. With the find and click map it would have been a snap!

  1. Sounds like a good idea to me! And it could show those cities that have their own boards, too.

    1. It was the one almost universally hated feature on the site and removed. Just a few of the many, many posts

Lots more if you search on "map" , all years and sort by oldest first

Good to know I'm not nuts! I was sure I had seen it in the past.

      2. We don't have a map, but we do have a list:

          Very handy.

Thanks! Hopefully those who need it will find it...

        2. Sounds like the map feature was badly designed, not that folks didn't want the option of one. I'm looking at the SF Bay area board, and a map to zoom in & out of would be a big help (of course, with the caveat that folks need to double check the current location/existence/etc outside of the map).

I hope Chowhound tries again for a user-friendly map feature.

          Thanks!
