Going to La Mirada to see Joan but of course, we need to eat ...what restaurants are great around there? We love all kinds but this time, we don't want too expensive ($25.00 and under).

Not sure which direction you're coming from, but if it's from the north, I'd consider Golden Triangle in Whittier; if from the west, then Renu Nakorn in Norwalk. (If from the southwest, then there are several good Indian options in Artesia - I'd search the threads here because it's been a few years since I've been there)

Mario's Peruvian is somewhere in the neighborhood, I think. While, I've never been, I've been told that it's very good.

Mario's is very good! and yes it is in La Mirada. You can go wrong! Order the Lomo Saltado and #33 (Onion Salsa on the side)
