Italian Grocery Stores near downtown Mpls?
Tried seaching -- not much luck. WIll be staying this weekend downtown, and want to stock up on bulk Italian sausage (among other things) -- Will have a car, but I don't want to drive over to St Paul to hit Cossetta'a or Buon Giorno - can drive to NE or Uptown areas ... Ideas are appreciated!
Marino's Deli, while not specifically a grocer, has italian sausage, dried pasta, pizzelles, among other things for wholesale. It is worth a stop on your way to Delmonico's, as it is also NorthEast. Treat yourself to a slice of their lasagna while you are there.

+1 on Delmonico's. It's the only Italian market I know of in Minneapolis. It's not much to look at - kinda small - but they have a good supply of items. Not in the same category as Buon Giorno, but a good Minneapolis option.
For other options, while not Italian per se, Surdyk's has an excellent selection of goods overall, some Italian. Seward co-op has a great meat selection counter, including sausage. I don't know if they have bulk Italian in stock, but it might be worth a call.
The only place I know of is Delmonico's Italian Market - 1112 Summer St. NE @Taylor St. They have Italian sausage that's pretty good and a variety of other Italian staples - fresh/dried pasta, sauce, etc. It's also quite affordable. The number is 612-331-5466. good luck.
Italian groceries are a rare item in this part of the country. But some great ricotta cheese is now available at the Wedge (and probably other places too)- it's Calabro's brand, it's from Connecticut where they know how to make ricotta. It doesn't have much salt so once you open it I'd advise eating it up fairly quickly. but once you taste it that won't be a problem. Sweet, creamy, perfect for cannoli, ravioli, lasagna, whatever....(the locavore police might get on my case, sorry)
