Looking for ideas for dinner West Hollywood

Hi -- Today is my husband's bday and we are in town for just a few days. Any suggestions for great restaurants? Looking for something with unusually great food with a casual atmosphere.

      For atmosphere, Dan Tana's is great. The service is frequently gruff, i.e. 'we don't have time for you because we're busy serving someone more important.' For food, it's inconsistent but sometimes good. So yes, you can beat Dan Tana's.

      Agree with animal, but for something more civilized Luques or Bistro LQ or Mozza will be wonderful. The owners of animal just opened a new place, Son of a Gun that is really good. Lukshon in Culver City is further afield but GREAT.
