Romantic Restaurants in Quebec City, Canada

Hello All,

Can anyone help with advice on a nice romantic restaurant to reserve this weekend. I'm from the NY area and I'm taking my girlfriend up to Quebec City for the weekend, and trying to plan a romantic weekend (I just lacking in restaurant area) So far all I heard about was Toast, but I know there has to be more options.

Thank You

  1. Since you are looking for a romantic setting, I would pick Panache over Toast. Food is roughly on par (I personally prefer Panache – caveat: The chef left few months ago that being said the new guy delivered on my last visit) but the place is more interesting: an old house that is now part of one of the best hotel in Québec City (Auberge St-Antoine). There is a modern fireplace and, for many tables, couches are used instead of chairs (done with class – with all due respect to Qc City restaurants and hotels, the décor is often quite tacky and a bit “wanna be trendy yet behind the curve”…). Toast is a rock throw always so you can always compare settings and menus…

    1. Thank you for you input. I saw that one to, but didn't know anything about it. The hotel from the website does looks very beautiful and has great reviews. So far my swaying towards Panache

Le Moine Echanson. Small, intimate, excellent food, a wine pairing for each course if you so desire it. It was a wonderful place for my husband and I.

      2. L'Initiale is a beautiful restaurant that will impress your girlfriend! Small intimate dining room. IMO, one of the best restaurants in Quebec CIty. Not sure of your budget, you will probably spend about $100-125 a person for dinner, but lunch is a good deal for about $25 a person.
