Foodies traveling to Tampa/ St Pete

We are heading to Tampa / St Pete area for some R&R. We are Miami foodies- love all kind of ethnic food, mom and pop places as well as higher end places. Just looking for the best food the area has to offer. After reviewing the boards, our top choices are : The Refinery, Berns, Agave, Jade Bistro, Pane Rusitca and Red Mesa.
Am I on the right track here???

You might consider adding Z Grille in downtown St. Petersburg. The chef-owner was nominated for a James Beard award a couple years ago.

I really enjoyed Z Grille's food when we went, and thought it was a really fun, well decorated space. +1 for Z Grille.

Ditto on Z Grille. One of my favorite restaurants.

You are absolutely on the right track...the one suggestion I would make is to go to Red Mesa Cantina in downtown St. Pete instead of the original Red Mesa on 4th st. They are both great, I just prefer the atmosphere & menu at Cantina. Enjoy your trip!

Sunday brunch at Red Mesa Cantina is lovely so long as it is a nice day. Sit outside on the patio. They also have real cheap bloody marys (at least they did when I was there on a Sunday).
